Tea Tree Bay

The path through Noosa National Park curves around a rocky headland past hidden bays, secret swimming spots and amazing coastal lookouts. As we walked through the shadows of the tea trees and Pandanus, we kept our eyes peeled for koalas while enjoying views of the blue ocean filtering through the palms.

The name Noosa was derived from the from the local Aboriginal word "Noothera" in the Kabi Kabi language, meaning "shadows" or "shade." This likely referenced the relief from the sun offered by the tall forests of the area. The region was used as a sacred retreat for the Kabi tribe for over 40,000 years, including celebrations such as the annual Bunya nut festival.

Each image is printed on a 100% cotton fibre rag, an archival museum quality material with a vibrant finish.
