Eagle Ray

from $60.00

The Whitespotted Eagle Ray (Aetobatus narinari) has unique spots that paint the night sky on its back. Each one has different stars, their constellations like fingerprints.

Before I started diving I didn’t even know that these animals existed. Today, Eagle Rays are some of my favourite species. When they swim, it looks as though they are birds, gliding smoothly and flapping their wings when taking off.

Whitespotted Eagle Ray

This species can be skittish, so I swam over to it slowly as it glided over the ripples in the sand. It was a clear day, and I liked the contrast of textures I saw on my monitor. Slowly, quietly, I snapped the photo. It is my favourite moment I’ve captured so far.

In many oceanic cultures, such as Polynesian, Hawaiian, or Pacific Island nations, the eagle ray symbolises the sea's abundance and beauty. They are often a source of inspiration in traditional artwork, dance, and folklore, representing ancestral wisdom and a connection to the natural world.

Each image is printed on a 100% cotton fibre rag, an archival museum quality material with a vibrant finish.

Happy World Sea Turtle Day! 🌏

It’s crazy that we can still dive animals who lived side-by-side with the dinosaurs! 🦕

Here are a few of my favourite turtle snaps from this past week at Julian Rocks 🐢🫶✨

We had an absolutely insane day out on the water yesterday!! 🐳✨

The whales were so active and we saw SO many breaches!! It took all of my (very limited) concentration to get these shots 😆🫶
